Why do you need to be careful about the location of a proposed job?
Well if you’re a single person do you really want to be stuck way out in the country miles from the nearest village or town with your nearest neighbour miles away as well?
You might think it OK if you’re happy with your own company, but for 6 months or more? You could go stir crazy having no one to talk to.
You need to take a quick look at the location before you accept a job and here are the best internet map sites to use:
ViaMichelin.com – especially good for route planning if you don’t have a SatNav. Put in your departure point and destination and up comes a map showing the best or quickest route, length of journey, expected time of journey and an idea of cost covering fuel and any toll charges, important if you are going to a job in France or on the European continent as these can add up.
