Good references are essential because they tell a home owner everything about you and play a crucial part in putting their mind at ease when they can see you are a conscientious, hard working, honest and capable house sitter.
Some of the people you ask for a reference may not have given one before and might be unsure of exactly how to word one so we include a couple of draft examples below that you can let them have should they need them.
Your age doesn’t matter when applying for house sitting jobs, but the younger and less experienced at house sitting you are the more important your references become.
